Lexi

Lexi

Lexi was a beautiful Black Lab who we fostered through Wilco Animal Shelter. He was absolutely terrified, and we had to carry him out to go to the restroom the first 5 days or so. He warmed up slowly and our resident dog Max, helped him quite a bit. We had him a couple months and worked slowly to gain his trust. He also spent a week with a fellow volunteer who didn’t have kids in his home to provide him with a quieter environment and work with him further. Lexi ended up scoring a fantastic home who at the time had a cat and elderly dog as well. Now, although still scared at times, he is well loved and his canine siblings have grown to now three and the cat. He has a special place in our hearts. It just goes to show with a little time and patience scared dogs can open up and feel your love over time. In fact the song Make You Feel My Love, I say is mine and Lexi’s song.

Eddie

Eddie

Eddie (seen on the left) – was a terrified dog who we fostered from Wilco Animal Shelter. He did not like being touched at all at first, and would hide in places away from us. Again Max, our resident dog, helped him get out of his shell. We found him a home with a co-worker of ours. He is spoiled rotten and has a canine sibling he loves to run and play with.
